About
Research & Development Cell aims at encouraging faculty and students to inculcate research culture in the Institution. R&D provides platform for research activities mainly major/minor research projects, funded projects, publications, patents and consultancy.
Roles and Responsibilities of R&D Cell
- To encourage faculty and students to apply for major and minor research projects
- To have exposure about Research & Innovation activities
- To give support to consultancy activities
- To assist faculty by providing incentives for research publications in various SCI/SCOPUS… indexed Journals/Conferences and patents.
- To provide financial support to faculty presenting papers in other countries.
Objectives
- Research and Development aims to nurture research culture among faculty and students.
- Encourages faculty to initiate in-house research projects by providing financial support for equipment required.
- Offers attractive incentives for publishing papers in various indexed journals such as SCI/SCOPUS journals, conferences, books, funded projects and patents.
- Facilitates guidance from experts by conducting seminars to obtain grant from various funding agencies DST/AICTE/UGC etc.
- Provides financial support for attending workshops for faculty.
- Encourages faculty to work with collaboration activities in association with both National/International Universities.
- Provides financial support presenting papers in International conferences in foreign countries.
- The college extends full support for developing innovative products, working models, prototypes by facilitating technical assistance as well financial support.
R&D Functions
- • The R&D Cell encourages faculty and students to uplift their knowledge levels in writing research papers, filing patents, applying funded projects and improving skills in developing research methodologies.
- • Incentives will be given to faculty for publications/books/book chapters/patents/sanctioned projects/consultancy activities.
- • The research caliber of each faculty/department is computed based on their research accomplishments and activities for inspiring young researchers.
In order to promote research and development activities, the college extends its full support to faculty. Full/Partial financial support is given to all innovative research & development works taken up by the faculty members. The college encourages the faculty to participate in National/International Conferences, Training programmes, Tech-Festivals organized by reputed institutes (IITs/NITs/State Engg. Colleges) etc. by giving full/partial financial support viz. course/registration fee, TA/DA etc.
Faculty can utilize the incentives as mentioned below, provided they submit the relevant details as per the requirement of the R&D cell and get approval:
Faculty incentives:
- International Journal (Indexed-SCI, Scopus etc.) : Rs. 5000/-
- National/International Journals : Rs. 2000/-
- International Conference : Rs. 3000/- + up to Rs. 2000/- Registration fee
- National Conference : Rs. 1000/- + up to Rs. 1000/- Registration fee
- OD facility : Maximum of 4 days per semester
